History and InformationJustice is the Grammy-nominated techno music duo of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. They are the most profitable band in Ed Banger Records. Getting their start in Paris, the duo had to get consent from their parents to use the cross as a symbol of their band. Augé's father thought it was in "bad taste," but Augé instisted that they were using it as a symbol for their band only and not as a symbol of rebellion. Musical StyleTheir style has been thought of as having a heavy metal influence and combines ofcut-up bass lines with compressed and distorted synth sounds. Their music often includes bass slapping, which contributes to their electrohouse sound. Also, Justice uses samples of other songs to add to the effect, sampling songs like "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy," featuring Uffie. They use many mixing intruments including three JazzMutant Lemur Input Devices, two MacBook Pro's running Ableton Live, a Korg MicroKorg, an AKAI MPD24, a Korg ZERO8 and a Pioneer DJM800
