I went to China beacuse I took Chinese in school for four years. It was a culmative project for my last four year of language instruction. I also went to further understand the culture of the Chinese because it is vastly different than Western culture. I also went because it is just a good experience to get out of the country and learn abou the rest of the world. It puts a new perspective on life. The trip to China made me respect my own things and my environment more because I was taking it for granted before I went.
